Ten people were able to recite the famous speech from memory on Monday, Feb. 12 and earn free lift tickets to Mountain Creek in Vernon, the ski resort confirmed.

The annual event, which celebrates the 16th president's birthday (215 years young!) was held Joe C's Cafe in the Red Tail Lodge at the resort

Lincolnheads were required to recite the 272-word two minute speech, delivered on Nov. 19, 1863 at the dedication of the Soldiers' National Cemetery, without headphones, airpods or any other listening devices to assist, Mountain Creek said.

Five of the winners, according to WRNJ, were: Sara Hook, Sam Boys, 12 of Hardyston; Massyl Mallem, 24 of Kent, CT; and Sam and Cassidy Coyne, 12 and 13, respectively, of Ringwood.
